Retaliation to anger must be kindness. Any other way than this will only lead you to hurt yourself and feeling bad about others and yourself. When someone is angry at you or snapped at you for reasons that you do not even know about, your natural reaction would be to snap back or to be indifferent about it. Yet, if you put off your own fire in retaliation to anger, and instead extend a piece kindness to the person, it will make you feel better and will make the other person realize that there is no need for anger or hostility.
You can retaliate to anger by being calm. This means that you do not need to snap or react right away. Give yourself time to think about the things that you can do next to make the other person feel better and to get to the root why he is acting the way he does. You have to be proactive. Act on the issue and do not be acted upon by anger.
